Hyosung Motorcycles have been manufactured since 1979, in South Korea, by Hyosung Motors and Machinery Inc. By 1988 they had a fully functional research and development center, a mass production line for Hyosung Bikes, and catered the 1986 and 1988 Olympics as the official Olympic Motorcycle. The company was clearly making quality motorcycles and was on the road to success. It wasn't until 2002, and after selling over 2,000,000 units world wide, that Hyosung brought Motorcycles to North America. Still in their infancy for the North American market, Hyosung Motorcycles are priced below major competitors to help gain brand awareness. Hyosung Motorcycles are built with such confidence that the company offers a two year, Wheel to Wheel warranty on all of their motorcylces, with very few ever needing to claim on it.
